- Solid colours suit portrait photography best (light or dark).

- Turtle neck, V-neck, blouse and shirts help draw attention towards your face.

Clothing - Children

- If your child has a favourite outfit/costume, bring them along for more fun shots!
Clothing - Babies
- Babies have adorable smooth skin and are often best photograph naked or with a nappy.
- White or pastel colours are best if dressed at this age.
Hair
- If you plan to have your hair styled before for the shoot, schedule an appointment 2 week before your photo session.
- Being photographed too soon after can prevent you from looking like yourself.
Make-Up
- Simplicity is key. Mascara is always good and if using eye shadow, choose a brown or plum. This adds a little depth
- Use just enough lipstick to enhance your natural skin tone. Again, natural colours are best.
- No make-up for children. I retouch all blemishes including bruises or scratches.
- Fingernails should be clean & trimmed.
- Nail varnish a solid, light to medium color.
- Dads clean shaven, fingernail clean & trimmed.
